Little work and poorly done.

Filed Airports

A little embarrassed as the news a few days ago we read about the airport Lleida Alguaire. After months of talking about it and after all the tests required, set the date for opening before Christmas. Now it missing permissions. Exactly "authorization air and some international publications, essential to open."

That I call mismanagement. If I were in charge would produce shame. Little work and poorly done, let us say also. The Catalan government does not have to manage so many airports, I say! And that n'estrena and which has full responsibility for managing it is starting badly. We complain of AENA (and rightly so) and Madrid, but we do not know how to do things much better and we are accustomed to this shoddy caliber (roads, tunnels, belts, metro .... The examples and many would not should list them because they are after all.

At present it is not known exactly when open, which companies operate there, what real purpose (inadvertently flying pigeons) will this airport. We are a little tired of the words of the Minister repeatedly broken Nadal, who has said several times that would open before Christmas. We seem right that a work of this magnitude can not open for lack of a permit? They did not know what permissions were needed? That can be said about management? To manage a country before you have to come to the house itself and the tripartite has the feeling of paralysis due to lack of common goals. Each council was at ease and one counselor in contempt as often happens. What we said little work and poorly done.

Spend ... spend!

Map of visits from 16/11/2008 to 17/11/2009

When he gets a visit home, she does get ("spend spend ..!"), She does sit and be invited to drink or eat something. This is what I want to do with visits to my blog. But there are many and some do not know where they come from, or know who they are. But also my wish would be to make them go home and be able to chat for a while.

When I started this blog I could not ever imagine life would be visited by many people. Honestly I say. Now just over a year I put a map exploring the curiosity to know where you can get to read and how many people you can get to read. This map is saved automatically every year. Here you have it, all dyeing red specks and a total of 5,791 visits from 16 November 2008 until 17 November 2009. If we started the blog a few months earlier, this probably means that blog has been visited around 6,000 people.

I know this is nothing compared to other blogs and is a real misery and ridicule. I know it. But this was not my first goal when I decided. I've told some other time: the first objective was to drain the pap and told them my issues that I want. Then someone reads, thinks and says? So much better.

So thanks to all who have lost a minute of your time to read me. Some know what they do every day and others only occasionally. I know some have made in writing and other face to face. With some we continued the conversation related to a topic I've written. Some have agreed with something I've written and the others congratulated me. All this encourages them to continue. I'll keep writing for the simple pleasure of writing for myself and for those who want to read me. But given how good the one that someone reads and writes, so I give you thanks.

Dignity and indignity.

Today I am quite pleased with the response that 12 Catalan newspapers together, have a dignity that lasts for years. At least s "have agreed to put some of the things that most people think and say every day. Now I have said all together to see if they listen better. maybe should have said some things yet. But not bad at all!

We lost everything, except dignity. The Constitutional Court has long since lost. By now you should have resigned for having failed to do the job they have to do. And the two great national political parties (PP and PSOE) are also complicit in this indignity.

I invite you to read the whole editorial Catalan newspapers (unprecedented fact) for those who have not had a chance to do it:

Pepe Mujica again.

Next Sunday, the man you see in the picture, is the new president of Uruguay. Everyone assumed. I long as I predicted, without any merit on my part. The thing fell under its own weight. Things have been relatively well during this last term and therefore people prefer to go that route.

Jose "Pepe" Mujica is a former tupamaro, although it has the appearance of a former guerrilla who spent 15 years in prison and punished two of them in a pit. There was to stay mad and resentful life. I, however, exudes a sense of humor and positivity everywhere.

On the other hand, has a reputation well-earned to be a frank, honest and speak your mind with words that everyone understands and uses the most people in their daily lives. Maybe not a big brain, but it sure will be a very different and possibly president of the foot touches the ground.

Spirituality.

Filed in Spirituality

"Spirituality is the distance between you and the life."
The phrase was a Jesuit said in an interview with Channel 33. He spoke to everyone seeking spirituality in some way or another. Some call it Zen, other nature, other Christian, other "inner peace" .... but in the end, we put the name you said, let's not just leave the space between ourselves and life, because if we let this space patiríem lot. I liked the definition and I thought what he said was a great truth.

Normally we do this little exercise makes us see ourselves distancing ourselves from a distance and perspective. And it is from this perspective that we can go within ourselves and see where we are, what happens to us, what can we do, where we go, what is important and necessary and what is superfluous.

Anyway, I liked the phrase and I wanted to share.

Size matters?

Filed POLICY

Well, unfortunately, it does matter, but what they say "there is little to be good jam." But I do not mean what they all think. I mean the countries, the nations, peoples.

Catalonia, for most of the Catalans, is a country and a nation. But we do and we believe it is useless because unfortunately our state-is who has the power and autonomy of this invention has recently been used to give us the power of truth. After all, everything has to go to Madrid and we know there Bread that occur. The Statute also openly admits that we are a nation, but even that seems to retain the title seems to cost. This statute has been passed Ribot everywhere. I do not even know what it is and we'll see if we can make something worth more or throw them in the trash. Those people that the Constitutional Court is not very clear is that we are a nation, but many of us who do have clear. But remember that we are a small country, without influence, with few incentives and many enemies constantly hell they want to do and we are constantly putting a spoke in the wheels. They who decide what we should be and not us who decide we want to be.

Just see what this indecency court, referees arbitrariness that decency should all resign now. They have lost their impartiality, dignity, shame and everything you want. But retain the power to decide, one that could have some political parties that distribute power according to their convenience and because they were well enough to continue so. Small as if we played a football match against the four referees: it turns out that the referee is the PSOE, a line judge is PP, the other judge of line and is IU's fourth it is a puppet does not know anyone who has appointed. The children themselves regardless and often is our fault because we buy (and, therefore, we sell) for a mess of pottage.

These days we have seen that Catalonia can not play against Spain in soccer or beach because it would stoop too and recognize "de facto" that exist. We can not do queries and then put on a war footing. This will not be tolerated. Even there were clear threats to the Spanish players were ready to play. The weight of the law and the fines would have befallen them if they had dared. So, as you see: size does matter and smaller counts for nothing unless they have more political power than we have. If Europe gives us should not be viewed expect it to Spain and if something positive can come out of this uncompromising attitude of the state is the fact that every day will make you more independence and perhaps a Once there is "rebellion on the farm."

Democracy versus dictatorship.

Filed under Democracy , Obama , POLITICS

One of the differences between democracy and dictatorship is that in a democracy must respond, must be accountable and citizens have rights (including the right to know) and a dictatorship no rights, nor wondered , nor knowledge, nor protest.

Yoani Sanchez is a well-known Cuban blogger, which as we speak I have something again. I have your blog among my favorites and I try to go read it (not the comments, though). I think it is a good journalist and explains, from within and about what is happening on the island. It is the only one that does, but I think she does very well and is a delight to read.

Some time ago he sent a questionnaire with seven questions to Barack Obama and another with 7 questions to Raul Castro. I guess you may imagine what happened: that Obama and Raul replied "not yet." The TV itself has echoed these days. It's what we said, that people who believe that the people have a right to know, the answer you questions. Who does not believe in rights, and have no need to answer. Clearer water.

We are very critical of politicians. I am the first. But we are especially with those who believe that power comes from the sky and do not realize the power that comes from below, from the village. If they became closer, were more frank and clear, fulfilled a promise that 10% of the campaigns ... be rated.

In this case, Obama has given us a good lesson to all, but especially to politicians: one of the most powerful men in the world has been "downgraded" to answer in a blog of a poor journalist of a poor country. It's just a sign. But an obvious sign of ten believe that what democracy is. We could all learn together, do not you think?

I just found the Mexican Jaime Sabines (1926-1999), which they say is one of the best Mexican poets. Perhaps the best after Octavio Paz . At least say it is perhaps the most popular. - Yes, I think, the most popular.

I leave a sample of a poem I liked,

Debauchery and hungry.

Filed In Crisis

It is difficult to speak of poverty, the hungry and the poor countries where we are. It is difficult to talk about poverty from wealth. Immediately you say you're a populist and talk about these issues is very easy, too easy.

Maybe so. I recognize that it is relatively easy to talk about poverty, hunger, watching from afar as we see it. Although not as if we have some sensitivity and awareness, because most of us eat three times a day and also eat what we want and when we want and we can compare situations. But perhaps our side we see a family that is going wrong here in Europe and we can not complain! We leftover food everywhere!

The economic crisis is having a big impact on people who struggle to survive. And these are every day. Chronic hunger to attack happened 913 million people in 2008, making it over 1000 million in 2009. This figure is equivalent to one sixth of the world population.

Appetite has grown and grown food prices (17% in two years). Since 1970 it grew hungry. It seemed that we had pretty much dominated, but the global crisis has arrived and has not seen.

And all this, in the doors of a festival that already come with the corresponding known and repeated dinners, dinners, dinners and famous dinners lunches and dinners ... greeted family and lush superfluous ....

Like every year, what a shame!.

The MARTIN FIERRO in Catalan.

Filed in Argentina , LITERATURE

A few years ago I was given an edition of the famous Catalan MARTIN FIERRO. I did not know existed and I was really excited because I've read the original several times and I like it because it portrays very well mol philosophy, way of thinking and the gaucho, a character typical Argentine pampas.

This week I reread excerpts of the Catalan edition and I have enjoyed it. It seems impossible to translate the language of Jose Hernandez, full of words typical gaucho and localism difficult to translate. But I think the author succeeds quite well.

The translator is Enric Marti and Muntaner, a Catalan who went to Argentina before the Civil War. The first translation of the poem is making in 1936 and he admits that Catalan is a very old and quite outdated. The finishing touches to its publication in 1977, when publisher Anchor Buenos Aires published.

Martín Fierro is the autobiography of a gaucho, or the resident of the first floor flat is located in the entrance of the vast country wide Rio de la Plata. The gaucho comes from the Spanish colonizers and the Indian, so is the human element of genuine Pampean plain vast horizon that has all heaven and earth, your home is a ranch, mud and straw, with one opening and vehicle transporter and the horse is indispensable friend. Their food is meat, abundant and available to everyone. A person's soul and free life, constantly threatened by the Indian first, and civic-military organization of a new society that is emerging and unscrupulous, hard and sometimes unfair and intolerable.

And the gaucho is the victim of this motley national formation, which is called progress. The gaucho town suffers pressure from emerging and unknown desert and is stuck in the web of the new law, which knows and understands much.

"The law, which has been done for all

only the poor suffer.

The law is the web.

How ignorant I tell you.

Do not subject the rich man;

not subject to the powerful

it breaks the insect fat

and even the little wraps.

The law as rain:

can never see where it goes down.

The recipient does not laugh or dance.

But this is already old;

Law is like the knife:

who manages not to cut "

Tangram.

Filed in Education

Probably most of you know that I read what a TANGRAM. For those who do not know, I will say that Tangram is an ancient Chinese game called Chi Chiao Pan, which means table wisdom. The puzzle consists of seven parts or "Tans" out of a square cut into five triangles of different shapes, a square and a trapezoid.

1 square
2 large triangles
1 medium triangle
2 small triangles
1 trapeze

From these pieces you can make many different figures features: animals, people, boats, abstract figures ... Aside from being a rather fun game, can be used to facilitate the stimulation of different character skills key to learning. In this sense we could mention the following:

Spatial orientation
Spatial structure
Viso motor coordination
Attention
Logical space
Visual perception
Visual memory
Perception of figure and background

Although they were originally listed only a few hundred ways, today there are over 10,000 different forms and variations more or less items.

Finally I leave an address where you can download it to your computer and play. Those who've never played there, I recommend that you try. Just see how you like it.

The Vladimir.

Filed in Happiness

PICT0043-1 I have a nephew called Vladimir. It has nine. Until six years ago, did not know what a football was. There Siberian orphanage or could not play, because most of the year were surrounded by snow, and it was very cold, or they had to play ball. When he arrived, with 6 years old, I had not seen most of the things that our children have seen and always had.

Today I was accompanied to the football days' m so requested and had not yet seen play. Children play on the computer of Ivars d'Urgell. It is the smallest of the group and plays a few minutes. But this ignores him. He has a great enthusiasm and loves. The truth is that he has learned quite fast, but not one to ever Bojan, it will be a good player. Time will tell!

Vladimir is ready as the spark. Alive, restless and moved like ass Jaumet. In a few months he learned Catalan and Spanish studies and succeeds quite well. Swims very well and is a good athlete. It has adapted to a completely new situation for him and for the majority of adopted children must be difficult. But it seems happy, after all, is what matters.

Being small-old physicist and has not yet learned enough of it to play ball, only played a few minutes in games and almost always at the end of games, when it is already decided . But, as I said efore, this he does not care one iota. When out in the field gives everything and run after it like a fool. This makes me think of the work you have done and how the coaches treat the psychologically important players that are not good, the important, the front row, the cracks. It made me think how important it is to know that you have a place in life, a role that you always have, even just twenty minutes. And how important it is to have hope that maybe one day you can play the whole game and maybe you can set one or two goals. Basically, life is this: to have a place to aspire to be more or less happy and having delusions. Or not?

Brazil, Brazil!

Brazil is a continent in another continent. There are many climates, many landscapes, many customs, many ethnic groups. There are all a bit. "No Brasil, são todas as coisas do mundo maiores."

It has been very difficult in recent years, but things were settling slowly, thanks to Lula, with all the faults you want, is taking the country forward and is an example for many. Yes, for us Europeans, we believe the mambo kings!

Lula is a great defender Leonardo Boff, these days we have here among us, agile-minded as ever, just as intelligent, although not shown in the Franciscan humility. Reminds us that "humanity needs and dreams that religion is a source of dreams", though some say the opposite, and now you see religion as something outmoded. The old-fashioned, rather they, I think, but that would be a long question.

The thesis argues Boff as a future solution to the land is to model a solution based on the Earth Charter: a social issue, solidarity, but also ecological. In Brazil, Petropolis through the program have already applied liberation theology neighborhoods with legal advice in order to reach young people and ordinary people, but also to victims of domestic violence. They have developed the program Pa and Beauty, which consists of a shower first and then get to eat for beauty.
Put another way: The assumption of the problems through dialogue, solidarity and personal effort. The help came from the same Lula, who have made the costs involved with food and toilet, coming from the administration.

They discussed new habits, new ways of doing things. We come from an economy based on the exploitation of land resources for human consumption. This system has brought great benefits, but only a small part of humanity. Noam Chomsky says there are three people in the world that produce more income than 40 countries together. The wealth is concentrated in few hands ... This creates a tremendous inequality and injustice ecological and social. The consumer should be more frugal and supportive.

Boff believes we live in a time back to spirituality. There are very tired of materialism. There is a search for new non-material dimensions. But youth is the answer because the Church is an institution very rigid. We need to find spirituality outside of official doctrine.
How? Humanity needs dreams. Religion is a source of dreams. Life is not just fun and consumption. This one, the human feels empty. In addition, he says, global domination is in the hands of the G-20, but ignored the rest. Humanity consumes 30% of the resources available and the problem of drinking water is terrible. Should listen to the poor and supportive measures.

Think good thoughts for this weekend, right?

The opinions of Laporta.

Filed club , Joan Laporta

For days I feel the same singsong in several places: in some circles of radii (Catalan) have stated that Joan Laporta talk too much, some newspaper columnists have also written something in this direction. Needless to say, the "cave Madrid media" that has taken the overhang and weight were primed with the president of the club. Even I have read that some supporters club outside Catalonia are not good that our president has opined, Catalan and clear on some things.

Look, if I must be honest, I'm not putting those Laporta an altar'm not an unconditional fan. I find some major flaws, but I think to myself: who does not have flaws? What president of the club has had throughout history, it has flaws? What follows Laporta, a person is immaculate, perfect and make everyone happy?.

Making clear, therefore, that I am not a fan of Laporta recognize that sporting success the club has achieved under President Laporta are so great that everyone else seem small. Maybe with a little luck, it is true, but some virtues that we can not ignore.

Returning to Laporta: I do not know on what grounds can not say what it is and when you see fit. Talking about politics? So what? They want to talk about, which is why a free man. To me it was OK to tell someone what you want on questions like it. So put it in this situation, no person representing a group could not ever say anything, because they never represent the opinion of all. So to me that the opinion you want. Or is it that their opinions because they raise so much dust thrown into a certain direction? Maybe if I said other things that would be praised criticized ....

Or is that commentators, journalists, politicians, bishops, doctors, fishmongers, teachers, nuns .... and everyone feels free not say what you think at a certain point, if you think right? And if you do not like opinions, then refute them, accept them and let them pass by, but in a free society I think everyone should be able to express. They say that it is prepared to make the jump to politics. Well, fine. For me to make the leap wherever, but always appreciate anyone who gives their opinion, if you want to give on-the-things, while it politely and with respect and although sometimes I'm not like it.

What world monkeys!.

Filed in Deception , Lies , Values , Ethics and Moral

This expression as Catalan, which we expressed some disappointment in the world, tribulations, lies, etc.., That they become, is not now. In Castellnou my birth village, had "Lo Tano old" who always said. At an early age he had heard again and again. So that means at least 60 years ago that our world is a world of monkeys ...

Life is made of deceptions, lies and evils of all kinds, we know. No longer the earthly paradise 'there is a good number and we could go over the following centuries. But there are, thank God, good things, good people, good words, and especially good deeds.

It seems that now is a time of renewal, regeneration, re-start, re-excited, wanting to make things right again. We did not preach priests (such as we always do) but we preach politicians, businessmen, sociologists and commentators whole gang of radio and TV coming out every day.

OK. But we are so used to deceive us, that things are not as they say, that the words do not want to say anything or may say the opposite of what they mean if you do not do anything. For example, I imagine Vice President John Openness, who presented his resignation as manager of FC Barcelona to the president of the organization, Joan Laporta, through a letter of resignation, as must be the poor man. It makes you a letter, every woman can explain .... and if nobody does, nobody believes. All the newspapers say what it says, nothing. The reasons are well and others that tour and grave. The fact is that your letter is paper and dock not only has served to clarify but nothing has served to worsen it and make conjectures and speculations.

What we said: what the world of monkeys!

Now, "we run them all«.

Filed POLICY

Now it seems that in the rush to get everyone to agree on an electoral law. After 30 years of democracy, we now have to run? My opinion is that if you do not have to run the internal structures of the parties do not change and if below have neither voice nor vote, as is usually the case. The structures are so strong that the rules may say little. After all, it consensuarà a law that the public will be far and on which it will be able to say anything.

There are many models of electoral laws and all have advantages and disadvantages. Agreed to speak German like a model. How much is a model citizen if another party that votes can not go to find "their" representative who voted for him know it because it is so close and know their problems. The only way that political disaffection does not reach to the absolute limits, the private citizen will be able to explain their problems to a certain person who will listen and will try to fix them because it was the position and prestige.

This does not mean that fixes everything because we know that every law loophole and always find the crack through which to escape. If the party does not want to hear, if only the game itself looks good party, nor do anything. Because, let's face it-only-parties looking to make a law that suits their interests and, in general, the interests of the leaders. Put another way, well Planam: interest to some and not to others interested immigrants to vote, more interested in a party to vote in another world so as not vote for anyone, more or less interested in the campaigns are shorter, more effective and cheaper, more or less interested in the postal vote of residents abroad can be more agile and more effective than it is now; discuss whether a vote in the city worth more or less than a voting in the field .... I could go into many other aspects that do not want to just agree that each party will have their vested interests.

At the bottom of all this, this is the issue, not the fact think of the good of the country, equality and participation of its citizens, something that happens very far. And if not, I ask that voters disenchanted with the party assembly model that has been widely heard and, in the end, they had to play the two ...

Increasingly pamphlets.

Filed in Catalonia , Immigration

Pamphlets There have always been, especially in situations of lack of freedom. So a little surprised that currently, the internet provides great freedom that seems to come back with great fury written pamfletari type. It is now clear that perhaps no longer be called a pamphlet written such that it circulates clandestinely, but does so freely.

Internet makes any story, whether true or not, verified or not, circulate with great speed and cruise the world in minutes. And this is what I want to talk about today. every day I receive PPS, videos, news, emails, etc ... with news and writings of all kinds and I think many of them feel that they are kind pamfletari. And I think that every day most proliferate such writings, which I think is a shame.

Not long ago, I got a letter from the Prime Minister of Australia (anywhere I could not resist) that loaded strongly against migrants who come to Australia and do not want to integrate. Today in the mailboxes of my town, we could not find a menu based this writing, but adapted to our reality Catalan. The letter has no title, but it ends with the email below laculturacatalana@yahoo.es and says they want to create a space where we can say. The bad is that it does not say who they are or where they are, gives no further explanation.

The text as such, I have found it simply because pamfletari From Catalonia invites anyone who does not want to integrate into our culture. Maybe in the background would agree on some things you say, but I can not be in any way with the methods they employ. Moreover, it seems that put all in the same boat migrants, which consider total nonsense, because one of the things I think you should do is just accept that everyone has their own pace and their "tempos" personal towards a future integration in their new country.

Sometimes we can get the forms that we have every reason in the background, do not you think?

Casaldàliga and hope.

Filed In Latin America , Church

"We can not take everything except the faithful hope."

In its 81 years, the retired bishop of the diocese of Sao Felix do Araguaia, Peter Casaldàliga is one of the most prominent representatives of the Liberation Theology and has become a benchmark for the Latin American left. Since four decades came to Brazil to stay. His work in defense of the rights of indigenous peoples and oppressed social groups, as well as its support for the Brazilian landless movement and the Sandinista revolution in Nicaragua in the eighties, Peter Casaldàliga make it an essential part of memory living in the struggle for dignity and liberation of peoples in Latin America.

I just read an interview with him for the magazine VILLAGES (No. 39 in September) and I found interesting and I see that still fit, but age and illness. The head is still very clear and wonderful and comforting, a man who has been so bad, so continue to have hope.

"Globalization has given us the opportunity to recognize that we are one humanity. We are all equal, we need to be, in dignity and opportunity." It was the beginning of a conversation in which it was from the political situation in Brazil to present prospects of liberation theology, through the consumption model or the challenges of the Latin American left.

Crucifixes in classrooms.

Filed in Human Rights , School , Liberty

I had a certain charm agafadets see the hand and perfectly aligned Berlusconi and Spanish bishops with the issue of crucifixes in school classrooms. As you know, the European Court of Human Rights of Strasbourg has ruled that the compulsory display of crucifixes in classrooms is contrary to religious freedom.

Berlusconi has said categorically that they will believe in schools, noted that the European Court says. The Spanish bishops have run that this judgment is unfair and discriminatory and that the removal of crucifixes is unfortunate and not constructive for the future of Europe. What strange traveling companions, do not you think? They also have something that the bishops of Berlusconi's party or not?

All defending a certain freedom that I think is not so, but rather is a fallacy. Because if you have to be tolerant, I say maybe they are beginning to be everything and with everyone. Christian religious signs are not the only ones that exist in a secular society and there should be a preponderance of one over the other. Rather there should be coexistence and respect for all. I'm talking about public schools, of course. Private to do what seems best, which is why they are. In a religious school feel natural and logical that there is a crucifix in a classroom, but in a public school because there were no longer children of different beliefs.

I think we still have many hindrances of the past that we should rinse if you want a fair society, where everyone secular because they can find it can find its place. In this regard, countries like Spain and Italy still have much to learn from countries such as Uruguay (which is a country I know well) that for years and years who have a secular education model in many ways.
